CBK Hayling Island | Club

To either join the CBK Club or to renew your membership for a further season there are two things that we require you to complete: the application form, and the payment.

The application form is below, made up of 22 questions. This will not only give us the personal and medical information that we require, but will also allow us to ensure that everybody has the appropriate insurance, and find out about your kitesurfing preferences to help us to develop the club in response.

The membership fee for the period from April'12 to March'13 will be £105. This does not include personal liability insurance for kitesurfing, which we are unable to sell to you directly. If you do not hold this already you will also need to purchase this from one of our approved providers. There are two organisations whose insurance we recognise as providing appropriate cover for kitesurfing activities. You will be asked within the membership form to provide details of your insurance policy provider, number and expiry date. If your insurance expires during the season we will require you to provide us with proof of your renewed policy. The providers and their prices are:

Once the form has been fully completed you will be sent to the Club Membership section of the shop, where you can pay for your club membership. Once your payment has been matched to your application form and your insurance verified, we will send you out a membership email with a personal number.

If you are joining CBK for the first time, your membership fee of £105 for the April'12 to March'13 season will also include the winter period from December'11 to March'12 free of charge. As a new member, we will send you out this season's CBK rash vest, which must be worn when kiting at West Beach. Next season's rash vests will be distributed in March '12 and will be valid from April 1st.

Section 2: Insurance

It is a requirement of the club that each member has appropriate personal insurance for the duration of the membership period. Due to the personal nature of the information disclosed, we cannot put this in place on your behalf. There are currently two providers whose insurance we recognise as providing appropriate and valid cover for kitesurfing, whose details and weblinks are provided at the top of this page.

Section 6: Volunteer Beach Marshalling

6.1 For those members who would like to reduce their fees for the following season from April'13 to March'14, we will be providing a credit of £25 against next year's membership fee for those members who would like to complete a voluntary half day of beach marshalling, under the supervision of the CBK Beach Manager. If you would be interested in doing this, please indicate so below. If you are due a credit on your next year's fees against marshalling completed last season (July'11 to November'11) then please contact us in the shop to administrate this refund.
